What's Holding Back The Robot Vacuum And Mop Industry?
Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more capable. They have passed our tests for cleaning, and can handle a variety of flooring. Find models that allow you to choose between several modes, utilize their charging docks to automatically empty and clean stairs.
Many of the top models work with smartphones. Check for an application that lets you save maps, schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The black and gloss gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It makes use of lidar to navigate and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and customize the S1's behaviour.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which has flooring in the kitchen, dining area, and bathrooms, as well as medium-pile and a large rug. It was able to drive close to walls and even over thresholds that are raised without issue. However, it had some difficulty traversing the stairs in one step. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it was near carpets or rugs.
budget robot vacuum docking station automatically empties its trash bin and replenishes its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated waters prior to each mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 cleaning sessions, but this will vary depending on the frequency you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure it is operating well. It is necessary to regularly wash out the tank that has been contaminated to keep it from becoming clogged. Also, you'll need to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to prevent them from getting clogged up with dirt or dust. But, overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, particularly compared to other combos that require more care.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs All-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides an efficient solution for your cleaning requirements. The robot vacuum is rated at 8700Pa of suction and comes with a number of unique features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that avoids obstructions and cleans furniture. Its mopping ability is impressive. Rotating mops actually lift the floor and scrub it, rather than simply drag a pad across a surface. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station as needed.
This robot has a simple interface that guides you throughout the process. It comes with a hand vacuum that recharges for those hard-to-reach areas that the robot can't reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically emptied and refilled as required. It comes with a variety of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a good vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction which can easily remove dirt and other debris that other robots have trouble with. Its navigation capabilities are quite good, though it can be stuck on small mats and rugs at my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries in the app). Mopping capabilities are excellent with a pair of spinning mops which are able to lift and scrub floors, rather than just moving the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned with heated water, and dried in the base station when needed. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station as required.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their latest flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results and is simple to maintain. This makes it a contender for our list of the top mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush ensure a thorough, customised clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing fine and large debris from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned our tests' most filthy areas well, and avoiding tangled pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.

Its navigation is smart that can navigate narrow spaces and climbing stairs without skipping a beat. It can move from one room to another without having to reverse direction, which is a handy feature for larger homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is not as advanced than some competitors and leaves a large margin around obstacles. This can result in miss-hit spots.
Its app has a streamlined and intuitive interface that will be user-friendly for both new and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings. You can also alter suction power, mop settings, and look up 3-D and 2-D maps. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get real-time video supervision. However, you will require a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to operate it via the app as well as external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does an excellent job of removing debris and dirt, but it can't always be able to reach every bit of dust. This is why it's important to use your regular vacuum at least once every week, particularly to clean dust from corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot designed to do exactly that. It is simple to connect it to your home WiFI network and it works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the company's pricier S-series models, including the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's cheaper since it does not have mopping capabilities and has an aluminum body.
Despite losing the ability to mop floors, the Q5 has the most impressive mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robotic in this price range. It's got a powerful suction power of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system so you don't have to manually empty the bin every time. It comes with a smart application which allows you to schedule cleaning times and set the floor type. It also has an automatic water tank filling system and washing system for hands-free operation.
The mops also stand out with their 2700Pa capacity to take on pet hair and dirt, on both carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 was one of the few robots that we tested that did not have a problem with high-pile area carpets and rugs. However, it was able to not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't surprising, since it does NOT have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the most quiet robovacs that we've tested. It also uses a unique system to map your home. This allows it to get into corners and tight spaces that other vacuums cannot reach. The device also stores dust in a larger bin which means you need to empty it less often. It also has washable filters, which can further cut costs. The robot can also recognize carpets and increase suction if needed. You can also mark areas you would like to keep out of the app.
